Energy
Energy & Oil
GP Moreleil operates directly across crude oil, refined products and alternative fuel markets. Petroleum is a foundational input to modern civilization, with demand sustained by petrochemicals, mobility and global trade — and supply-chain bottlenecks continue to create financing gaps and opportunities for direct commodity operators.
A $5+ trillion industry
A vast, structurally growing market where inefficiencies and capital constraints create room for direct, asset-backed operators.
The world is moving toward energy addition, not simple substitution.
What is driving the opportunity
Supply-chain bottlenecks
Geopolitical risks and transportation challenges create financing gaps for commodity firms — and demand for stable financing and direct sourcing.
Rising prices
Geopolitical instability and supply constraints continue to drive price surges across crude and refined products.
Institutional demand for real assets
Hedge funds, family offices and sovereign funds are shifting toward commodity-backed, asset-based strategies.
A foundational input
Demand is sustained across petrochemicals, mobility and global trade — energy is being added, not merely replaced.
Direct, asset-backed participation
Controlling the key stages of trade to protect margins and capture value directly.
- ✓ Asset-backed participation in oil transport & storage infrastructure
- ✓ Direct trade execution — reducing intermediary costs
- ✓ Physical, commodity-backed positions to mitigate volatility
- ✓ Short, structured deals prioritizing cash flow and liquidity
A short, self-liquidating monthly cycle
Each cycle runs about a month. Volume is calibrated to available capital — no over-commitment — and capital is returned at the close of every cycle. The amount committed to the next cycle is decided independently, every time.
The monthly trading process, step by step
From purchase order to settlement — every month, every cycle.
Monthly purchase order
A purchase order is placed at the start of each cycle, sized to available capital — funding confirmed before any commitment.
Price hedging
Price exposure is hedged on confirmation using futures or options, with no leverage — locking in the margin ahead of delivery.
Loading onto own fleet
Cargo is loaded onto our proprietary rail fleet at origin, cutting third-party dependency and per-unit logistics cost.
Export declaration & dispatch
Export documentation and commodity certificates are filed; cargo dispatched once customs clearance is obtained.
Transit
The train departs for the delivery station, tracked in real time with insurance active throughout the journey.
Arrival at destination
On arrival, cargo condition is verified and the on-site team coordinates unloading with the awaiting clients.
Customer pickup & last-mile
Public and private clients load directly from the train and handle last-mile delivery — no warehousing required.
Customer payment
Clients remit payment — settled in USD, with no FX risk — reconciled against the delivery manifest and purchase order.
Supplier payment
Once client funds are received, the supplier is paid in line with terms and the trade is closed on the books.
Interest accrual & close
Interest on any financing is accrued and ring-fenced; the month closes and the next cycle begins.
Three phases that repeat
Procurement
Purchase order + price hedge — sized to available capital.
Logistics
Load → transit → deliver, on our own rail fleet.
Settlement
Collect → pay supplier → accrue interest, then the cycle resets.
